Applied Behavior Analysis Services

1722 Behavior & Consulting focuses not only on the clinical need of the client with whom we work, but the values and priorities of the whole family unit.

Intake Assessment

Our intake assessment includes interview with caregivers, interview with the individual (if applicable), observations across settings, skill acquisition assessment, and behavior assessment. From there, a behavior support plan and treatment plan are developed and implemented.

Frequent Collaboration

BCBAs regularly collaborate with other professional therapies (occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language therapy, psychiatry, mental health therapy) and school teams to ensure continuity of care and generalization of skills.

Caregivers are given goals and targets to acquire, just as the clients with whom we work do. Dedicated training time is scheduled each week to work on objectives and troubleshoot scenarios.

Ongoing Services

Ongoing services are provided by behavior technicians or Registered Behavior Technicians (recognized by the BACB). Supervision and caregiver training are provided by BCBAs. Direct care, supervision, and caregiver hours are based on the clinical determination and outcome of the assessment.

Funding

1722 Behavior & Consulting is in network with many major public and private health insurance companies. We contract with school districts and also provide a private pay option.

Intake Process

Our intake process begins with completing and submitting a packet, providing neuropsychological reports (and other related reports), and copies of insurance cards. From there, the individual will be added to our waitlist.

When direct care and supervisory staff are identified based on location and clinical appropriateness, a request will be made to the insurance company to complete an assessment.

The assessment process typically takes between 4-6 weeks. Once the report is completed, summarizing recommendations, authorization requests are submitted for ongoing services.
